Game 1: Akron Cardinals 17, TCBC 0

Here's the box score, stats, records, from the first game. It's been updated and has as much of the stats I could decipher from the score book (thanks to Jeff and myself's scratching).

It'll get better.

Three Cities Indians Question Mark

"What bothers me more than anything is we’re not making good outs,” said Wedge, “Outside of a couple of guys, our approach has been very poor. It’s something we pride ourselves on and work hard at it. There’s just no excuse.

“Whatever the hell it is, we better figure out it pretty damn quick because I’m not going to sit around and watch what we’ve been watching.

“We’re beyond all this. They aren’t kids anymore.”

2009 Schedule (Updated)

Here's the first revision of the schedule:

2009 28s (Open) Division Schedule

2009 Preliminary Schedule

The 2009 Preliminary Schedule has been released.

All games in the "Pre-Memorial Day" section are scheduled for Sundays, those which follow that weekend are still in question. Our "double-header" is scheduled for the final weekend of the season. That weekend we will play one game on Friday or Saturday plus our standard Sunday game.

Please expect to arrive at the field 45 minutes to an hour before game time (once they're set). NEOHR rules give the home team access to the field up until 15 minutes prior to the start for infield, and the away team from then on.

Let me know as soon as you do if you have any issues or conflicts . . .

Whoo-hoo!

Thank You!

Thank you again to everyone who participated in our fund raiser(s) and especially to those who have donated on their own! Please email John Millin or Josh Taylor (see the "contacts" tab in the column to the left) if you would like to see your name included on (or removed from) our "Donor Wall."

Without the generosity of our friends and families, reliving this dream of playing organized baseball wouldn't have become the reality it is.

Here's to years to come, and thanks again!

The Final Game is Tonight!

Let's go ahead and keep up the rouse and pretend you didn't see the on-line results after Saturday nights' games.

Either way, expect the FINAL STANDINGS posted here tomorrow morning -- following tonight's decisive game between Michigan State and UNC.

Good luck to those who are still in it (although you are just playing for pride at this point) tonight, and I hope the team you picked wins (and in every case except one that team is UNC).

Take care everyone, and thanks again for participating in the fund raiser tournament for TCBC. Please reach out to Josh or myself at the emails listed to the left and let us know if you'd be interested in us doing this again next year, and any changes you'd like to see to the scoring or structure . . .

Also -- we have CONSOLATION PRIZES!

Yessir, we have a limited number of consolation prizes available, with a limited time tag affixed to them. If you participated, please reach out to your team representative or Josh or myself ASAP and we'll make sure you get yours! We've only got a limited number of these, so don't delay -- they won't last!

Also -- expect a thank you list of donors listed on threecitiesbaseball.com soon.

Thanks again!

John and TCBC
